Manhattan City Council Districts

While there are 51 Districts that make up the entirety of the New York City Council, Manhattan is comprised of only 10 of these districts. The lines drawn, while seemingly random, is painstakingly done after the census report which is taken decennially.

The vibrant neighborhoods in District 4 include Carnegie Hill, Central Park South, the Garment District, Koreatown, Midtown East, Midtown West, Murray Hill, Peter Cooper Village and Stuyvesant Town, Sutton Place, Times Square, Tudor City, Turtle Bay, Upper East Side, and Waterside Plaza. 

This District also includes the CUNY Colleges of Baruch and Hunter, the United Nations, and many more iconic New York City Landmarks
